Franchise Partnership Program

If you meet the criteria, you can apply for the Franchise Partnership Program. Our investor sources will make an early stage investment, appoint a qualified Project Manager, and equally partner with you in a newly-formed franchise company in which you will collectively maintain majority control (this does not affect your current company – you keep that separate). The partnership works together to attract the additional equity capital needed develop, launch, and operate the franchise system from third-party investors. You’ll need a relatively small upfront matching investment to cover the costs of Concept Analysis, Business Planning, organizational costs, investor compliance and presentation materials prepared by your FranchiseRight certified Advisor. Because half of the investment is considered a shareholder’s loan; and you will be paid for interim management during the 12- month development and funding period; you will recover your entire initial investment prior to operational commencement.  During the fund-raising period you will be paid a monthly fee to work on the 2-person “interim management team as statutory president, a part-time position that handles minimal officer duties during the pre-operational period (you will also be a member of the Board of Directors). When operations begin, you’ll receive a full salary as President (in certain circumstances you can elect to serve as a paid board member only). You are automatically pre-approved for this program if you receive FranchiseRight “Investor Certification.”

Project Management
If you plan to outsource franchise development, a FranchiseRight Advisor can provide business planning and project management services on a fee-basis to create a “best-of-class” franchise system for your company using the professional, investor-grade document templates and tools included in the FranchiseRight System. This is the ideal program for companies that want to fund and operate the franchise company on their own!. Your team can engage FranchiseRight to develop your franchise business plan then provide project management services to create a “best-of-class” franchise system for you. Your FranchiseRight Advisor will utilize our proprietary FranchiseRight System and network of pre-approved service providers (FranchiseRight Network Members) to maintain a tight development schedule with identified deliverables produced by the industry’s most respected firms.

Investor Representation
If you achieve FranchiseRight “Investor Certification” by completing our business planning process, a member of our venture capital team will represent your franchise company to the investment community (fee and performance basis). Our membership base includes experienced capital firms that can represent your company to the angel capital/private equity marketplace to raise the initial capital to develop, roll-out, and operate your franchise system and/or raise funds to build or expand the prototype. Operating on a monthly fixed fee, all investor presentations, negotiations, and agreements are handled for you through the due diligence period and settlement of funds (there is a 6-month fund-raising guarantee). The representative, or a third party intermediary, is paid an additional performance-based fee in cash and stock for securing the investor. Plan to expense about 10 percent of the total investment in investor representation fees. Budget an additional 3-5 percent for third-party presentation fees and travel costs.
