| Franchise System Development Process |
FranchiseRight provides entrepreneurs with access to the legal and practical information needed to develop a viable franchise expansion and exit strategy. FranchiseRight Incubator applicants (step 6) must complete the 4 steps in the FranchiseRight Institute’s Certificate Program and engage in a FranchiseRight Development Program (step 5). Certificate Program graduates pre-qualify for the Franchise Partnership Program and are guaranteed a co-investment of “Seed Capital” from a pre-qualified FranchiseRight Investor (see Term Sheet for details). Without affecting the ownership of their current business, entrepreneurs benefit from a -$0- net investment. Step 1. Boot Camp. A packaged series of seminars, classes, workshops, and activities designed to help prepare you and your business for franchising or to help you prepare for purchasing a franchise. Leaders in the franchise law, SEC law, marketing, and sales field will join franchise industry expert Fred Kriss (www.fredkirss.com) and the FranchiseRight staff to give comprehensive presentations. This boot camp is the first major step for entrepreneurs who want to Excel, Expand, and Exit a business through franchising. The boot camp's mission is to provide the attendees with an opportunity to learn about franchising and get a detailed overview of the steps required to successfully enter the franchise industry. Each attendee is given a personalized binder containing comprehensive information and powerful deliverables that are discussed throughout the week. In a bonus session, you’ll learn more about the FranchiseRight system and our services. Candidates can disengage from the program after the Boot Camp (step 1) or preceed to Concept Analysis (step 2) where a FranchiseRight Advisor will review, evaluate, and assess the concept and/or current business. Only qualified candidates that successfully complete the FranchisRight Institute Boot Camp can submit their materials for “Concept Analysis”. Step 2. Concept Analysis. You may have a “franchisable” concept, but before you commit to franchsing and proceed with development, you’ll need to determine if your exiting operation (franchise prototype) is performing at the optimial level and is easily duplicatable by a franchisee. Our Concept Analysis of your existing operation includes a Review of documentation (i.e., Business Plan, Marketing Plan, Website, existing agreements, etc.), a Feasibility Analysis, and a Concept Evaluation followed by an in-debth Consultation. We also perform a Unit Inspection and Mystery Shopping to get a handle on your operations and provide a comprehensive report. Candidates that are not yet prepared for evaluation (Concept Analysis) are referred to our RightTrack Program, where pre-qualified FranchiseRight Network Members can develop the materials required for submission. Once they have all of their materials in order, candidates can re-enter our Certificate Program and finish steps 2,3, and 4. Step 3. Structuring. Qualified companies can proceed to “Structuring” where we conduct in-depth Market and Competor Research, prepare a Capitalization Plan, and deliver a recommended Franchise Development Plan (“best practices”, revenue centers, franchise fees, etc.) and a Project Development Schedule (sequencing plan). This information will be the basis of the Franchisor Business Plan prepared later in the program process. Step 4. Franchisor Forum Week. After “Structuring”, Franchisor Forum Week classes prepare entepreneurs for business planning, business valuation, capitalization, and investor presentation. |
